San Francisco partner Don Willenburg will be a co-speaker, along with another attorney and California Court of Appeal justice Stuart Pollak, on the topic of "CCP 998 Offers to Compromise – The Pitfalls and How to Avoid Them" at the morning session of 16th annual MCLE conference presented by the Contra Costa County Bar Association. The all-day conference provides numerous MCLE sessions and takes place Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Walnut Creek Marriott.
Mr. Willenburg will discuss valid and invalid 998 offers, proper acceptance, revocation and rejection. The panel will also cover the multitude of scenarios that must be considered when evaluating 998 offers and the cautionary tales contained in the case law.
