The International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation Mountain/Desert Network Conference took place on January 27, 2011 at the Westin Tabor Center in Denver. Held in conjunction with the American Bankruptcy Institute's Rocky Mountain Bankruptcy Conference, the IWIRC conference focused on women's leadership in the restructuring arena.
The conference featured two expert panel discussions. The first, titled "Thelma and Louise," covered the topic of uncovering and eradicating fraud. The second, titled "Footloose" (Or Not)," addressed the differing ethics standards for various professionals. The conference was coordinated by Denver Associate Megan Adeyemo, who serves as Treasurer of the Mountain/Desert Network of the IWIRC and Co-Chair of the Bankruptcy Sub-Section of the Colorado Bar Association.
