Gordon & Rees sponsored the 39th Annual Business Awards & Recognition Gala for the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce ("SHCC") on January 28 at the Hyatt Regency in Sacramento, California. The firm was represented by Sacramento Associate Leonor Dicdican who also serves as general counsel of the SHCC. Over 600 guests attended the Gala which included local area business owners, elected officials, and other guests. Former Lt. Gov. Abel Maldonado delivered the keynote address. The Gala also included awards for Small Business of the Year, Business Man of the Year, Business Woman of the Year, Corporate Hispanic Business Advocate of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, and Ambassador of the Year.
About the SHCC: The SHCC was established in 1972 by a group of small business owners who had a vision of helping local Hispanics start and grow their own businesses in Sacramento. Since its establishment, SHCC has reached nearly 700 members and serves as the regional voice for the Hispanic business community, promoting business, industry, commerce and culture within the Sacramento community for all minority groups.
