On February 22, the California Minority Counsel Program ("CMCP") will hold its networking mixer "Dialogue on Legal Diversity and the Role of CMCP" at McCormick & Schmick's in Irvine, California. Gordon & Rees's involvement is led by Orange County Partner Patricia Lee-Gulley who will be a featured speaker on the topic of "Bringing the Majority Law Firm Perspective." Ms. Lee-Gulley has served on the Board of Directors of CMCP since 2009 and as Secretary since 2011.
CMCP was created in 1989 in response to the disparity between the percentage of minorities in California's population and the percentage of minorities in the state's legal profession. CMCP is dedicated to the promotion and sustainability of diversity in California's legal profession and the organization focuses on developing professional opportunities for minority attorneys and providing business, legal and lay communities with access to their talent. Additional information about CMCP can be found at www.cmcp.org.
