On Aug. 16, Gordon & Rees San Francisco associate Marie Trimble Holvick will speak at the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada 2013 Law Firm Management Seminar: A Lean, Mean, Profitable Machine – Success in a Challenging Environment.
Holvick will present on the topic “Smart Phones, Texts and E-mails – Important Considerations for Today’s Technology” from 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Holvick and her panel will discuss the legal, ethical and economic risks imposed on law firms by the use of portable electronic devices and the problems inherent in the dual use of devices where employees use them for personal and business purposes.
Holvick’s experience includes assisting with employment matters involving allegations of age, gender, and race discrimination; sexual harassment; wrongful termination; whistleblower claims; violations of the FMLA, FEHA, and ADA; and “wage and hour” violations. Her employment law work has involved clients from a wide range of industries, including restaurants, wineries, hotels, health care, manufacturing, professional societies, and insurance.
