Gordon & Rees proudly continues its sponsorship of the 8th Annual Diversity for Success Seminar provided by the Defense Research Institute on May 30-31 at the Swissôtel Chicago. The seminar will detail practical, hands-on, cutting edge ideas, with interactive experiences and programs designed to assist diverse attorneys in their efforts to achieve real progress.
Gordon & Rees’s involvement is led by partner Dominic Campodonico, member of the DRI Diversity Steering Committee, and partner Franz Hardy, the firm’s national Diversity Committee chair. On May 30, Hardy will speak on the topic “Hands-On Tools to Remove Hidden Barriers That Negatively Impact Diverse Attorneys.” He will address several recently documented national studies on how women and minority attorneys are often excluded from intangible, but critical, career-enhancing opportunities. He also will discuss the Step Up For Diversity campaign, which provides specific action items to reduce barriers and create a path for diverse attorneys’ success.
Yvette Lewis-Molock, assistant general counsel at Xcel Energy, will join Hardy for the Thursday panel discussion, scheduled from 9:25 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
