On November 7, Gordon & Rees Chicago partner Craig Jacobson spoke at the ABA Fidelity & Surety Committee Fall Conference held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Jacobson’s presentation, entitled “How Can An Insurer Maximize Salvage and Subrogation Opportunities?” discussed the legal foundations for an insurer’s rights of subrogation arising from claims under fidelity and commercial crime policies. Jacobson’s presentation also provided practice tips on how to maximize recoveries from all available sources, as well as how to deal with insureds on related issues such as allocation of recoveries and obtaining assistance in the claim prosecution.
Jacobson concentrates his practice on handling and litigating complex insurance coverage disputes. He represents domestic and international insurers in matters involving coverage issues arising under property policies, fidelity and financial institution bonds, surety bonds, commercial crime policies, professional liability policies, director and officer liability policies, and commercial general liability policies.
