Gordon & Rees San Francisco partner Dominic Campodonico will moderate a panel discussion at DRI’s Drug and Medical Device Seminar, to be held May 14-15.
Campodonico will moderate the presentation titled "View from the Bench: Efficient Management of Mass Tort Litigation" taking place on May 14 at 10:30 a.m. The panel, consisting of federal and state judges, will lead an in-depth discussion on the management of mass torts. The issues being addressed include best practices for the selection of discovery pool and bellwether trial cases, issuance of Lone Pine orders, coordination between state and Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) judges, and misjoinder/severance issues.
Campodonico has more than 17 years of experience serving as national litigation coordinating counsel, regional counsel, and local counsel in mass tort litigation involving manufacturers and distributors of a variety of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and biotechnology products. He assists these clients in product liability litigation as well as accompanying high-stakes matters such as risk management and compliance, FDA/regulatory issues, government investigations, suits under the federal and California False Claims Act, insurance, and crisis communications. He has spoken and has had articles published on a variety of topics impacting his clients including the learned intermediary doctrine, epidemiology considerations, and regulatory oversight impacting promotional and advertising of pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology products.
