On June 4, Gordon & Rees New York office managing partner Mercedes Colwin will be a panelist at the CLM 2015 Professional Liability & Municipal Law Conference. The event will be held June 4-5 in Chicago, IL where “speakers from both the industry and law firm perspective will address hot industry topics addressing issues of concern to those who work in both professional liability and municipal industries.”
Colwin will speak in the first session titled “Legalization of Marijuana: Weeding Through the Issues." The panel will lead an in-depth discussion on the laws which currently shape the marijuana industry; discuss the policies which have developed throughout the country and which are likely to shape the next wave of laws in the industry; and address the many potential professional liability pitfalls which exist in the current landscape of the industry.
