On September 18, Gordon & Rees Portland partner Daniel Nichols will be a panelist at the MC Consultants 21st Annual West Region Construction Litigation & Insurance Coverage Conference. The event will be held September 16-18 in San Diego, CA where speakers will address construction defect issues that may affect attorneys, carriers, and builders in the industry within the next 12-24 months.
Nichols will speak in a session discussing current trends in insurance coverage and construction law in the Pacific Northwest. The discussion will include the evolving state of Statutes of Limitations and Repose in Oregon, the impact of recent Oregon case law on common law indemnity in construction defect cases, and updates on coverage law and bad faith law in Oregon and Washington.
Nichols practices complex litigation, representing clients in commercial disputes and professional liability, construction defect, employment, real estate, and environmental matters. He serves businesses of all sizes in resolving lawsuits of all sizes. He has successfully resolved complex e-discovery disputes and coordinated and conducted discovery for large, complicated matters, including mass tort and class action.
