On December 9, 2016, Philadelphia partner Joseph A. Arnold addressed a record crowd of over 700 attendees at DRI's annual Insurance Coverage and Practice Symposium (ICPS) at the Sheraton Times Square in New York City. Arnold's presentation, titled "Playing Nice in the Sandbox: Reconsidering Primary Versus Excess Insurer Disputes," examined the unintended consequences of lawsuits between primary and excess insurers, and offered tips on how to resolve insurer v. insurer disputes short of litigation.
The ICPS is hosted by DRI's Insurance Law Committee, one of DRI's largest and most active committees with over 2,700 members, which is committed to providing valuable education and resources to insurance industry representatives and lawyers around the world. San Francisco partner Matt Foy is currently the Chair of the Insurance Law Committee, and Joe serves as a Vice Chair of the Excess/Umbrella subcommittee.
