For the seventh consecutive year, Gordon & Rees will sponsor the Defense Research Institute's (DRI) two-day Diversity for Success Seminar and Expo, June 9-10, 2016. On the first day, the firm’s Diversity Committee Chair and Denver partner, Franz Hardy, will join UnitedHealthcare's Senior Associate General Counsel, Denise Zamore, to present "The Sum of All Parts: Why Diverse Legal Teams Get Better Results."
Together Hardy and Zamore will explain how understanding the point of view of a claimant, judge, jury, and a witness can make the difference between winning, losing, or accurately assessing settlement value. They will also discuss why adding diversity to a legal team can be a critical factor on a case.
This year's seminar is the 11th Annual Diversity for Success Seminar and Expo and will be held at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel. More than 30 legal professionals will provide an assessment of the importance of diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. Presentations will offer an in-depth look at corporate and national diversity and inclusion initiatives at the forefront of change. Participants will have the chance to watch real pitches from two different attorneys and listen to feedback from general counsel on how to interview as outside counsel.
Hardy serves as Gordon & Rees's national Diversity Committee Chair. His practice focuses on commercial and insurance litigation. He is recognized as an accomplished professional liability practitioner with a successful record representing scores of attorneys and law firms.
