Gordon & Rees LLP is pleased to co-sponsor an upcoming event titled, “Pathways to the Judiciary: Conversation with LGBT Judges.” The event will take place on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at 5pm at the Bar Association of San Francisco (“BASF”) located at 301 Battery Street, San Francisco, CA 94111. The panel is being presented by the Equality Committee on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (“LGBT”) Issues of BASF and Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF).
The Gordon & Rees co-sponsored event will feature various judicial panelists leading an in-depth discussion on topics such as information on nomination vetting of judicial candidates, advice for LGBT attorneys considering a career in the judiciary, and LGBT judicial officers discussing their personal pathways to the bench. Gordon & Rees is pleased that its former partner, Shay Gilmore, currently senior counsel at Norcal Group, is on the distinguished panel in his capacity as a member of California’s Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation.
