Gordon & Rees LLP is pleased to be a Gold sponsor of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association’s (CWBA) 39th Convention titled, “One Small Step.” The Convention will take place May 20-22, 2016 at the Sebastian Hotel in Vail, Colorado.
The four keynote-caliber speakers include Kathryn Ruemmler, former counsel to President Obama; Ashlie Beringer, deputy general counsel at Facebook; Mary LoVerde, national speaker on work-life balance issues; and Dana Bolger, co-founder and executive director of Know Your IX, an organization that works to center the voices of student survivors in the national policy conversation on campus sexual assault.
The Gordon & Rees sponsored event will feature various CLE presentations with members earning up to 11 general CLE credits, including six ethics credits. The CLE presentations will cover topics such as “How to Successfully Take and Defend a Deposition,” “Free Speech Limits v. Social Media,” and “Transitioning Your Practice: Ethical Considerations.”
Additionally, Gordon & Rees Associate Megan Rose will be sworn-in to the 2016-2017 Board of the CWBA. She will serve as a Co-Chair of the Board’s Judicial Committee which conducts due diligence on all Colorado Judicial nominees (District Court level and above). This will be Megan’s third year serving on the Board. Megan will also be presenting the prestigious Mary Lathrop Award to award winner, Helen Shreves.
