Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Construction Litigation Partner Rosemary Nunn will be a featured panelist at the 2018 West Coast Casualty Construction Defect Seminar, May 16-19 at the Disneyland Resort Hotel in Anaheim, California. Nunn will be a part of a five-person panel discussion titled "Mediating the Luxury Single Family Home Construction Defect Case" on Friday, May 19.
Nunn will be addressing the topic from the perspective of the general contractor. The panel, which includes the perspectives of the owner, developer, general contractor, subcontractor, expert, and mediator will cover a range of topics under that umbrella, highlighting the unique issues involved with defective, yet opulent, mansions. Issues include how to finesse demanding owners, reign in cowboy contractors, handle disgorgement allegations in an otherwise straightforward negligence case, prepare the adjustor for exorbitant repair costs, and tricks for getting egos to settle in mediation when litigation costs aren’t hurting one's wallet.
The West Coast Casualty Construction Defect Seminar is the largest construction conference on the west coast. In its 25th year, the West Coast Casualty Construction Defect Seminar attracts more the 1,500 attendees from various professions including legal, insurance, builder, construction, and subcontractors.
