Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Raleigh Partner Allison Becker has been recognized by Business North Carolina Magazine as one of the state's top lawyers and among the NC Legal Elite 2023 in their "Litigation" category.
On an annual basis, Business North Carolina invites active members of the North Carolina State Bar to vote for their most-esteemed peers. This year, less than 3% of the state's 28,000 active attorneys were selected as Legal Elite.
Ms. Becker is the Managing Partner of the firm’s Raleigh office and focuses her practice on health care, professional liability defense, insurance defense, and construction. She handles matters in a variety of state, federal, and appellate courts, including adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court. She also frequently represents clients before regulatory and licensing boards. She has nearly fifteen years of experience managing all aspects of litigation, including pre-suit negotiations, pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motions practice, jury trials, and appeals. She has tried cases to verdict in both North Carolina and Virginia and argued before the North Carolina Supreme Court.
She has been previously recognized by Business North Carolina as one of the Legal Elite in 2014, 2017, 2018, and 2021. North Carolina Super Lawyers has also recognized Ms. Becker as a Rising Star in medical malpractice defense every year from 2018–2022. She is admitted to practice in North Carolina, Virginia, and New York.
