Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, the country’s first and only full-service law firm with offices in all 50 states, will move its San Francisco office in Spring 2024 to a new building in the city’s historic Jackson Square neighborhood. The standalone, three-story building will serve as a collaboration hub for the firm’s headquarters. The firm expects renovations to be complete by April 2024, with a move planned for shortly thereafter.
New Jackson Square location to serve as collaboration hub
“The new office will be a first-of-its-kind take on a modern law office, with an enhanced focus on social interaction and collaboration,” said Adam Sugarman, Managing Partner of GRSM’s Northern California offices. “While we continue to fully embrace hybrid and remote working arrangements, the space will play an integral role as a central gathering point for the use and enjoyment of our team members as each sees fit.”
Located at 315 Pacific Avenue, the building features a private roof deck, a state-of-the-art virtual trial and presentation studio, various event spaces, and a 4,000-square-foot “living room.” The second and third floors will feature 30 private offices, of which the vast majority will not be assigned to specific attorneys, instead serving as spaces for any attorney to book via an app. The office’s private deck will be available for everyday work and feature exceptional views of the Bay and Transamerica Pyramid.
Founded in San Francisco in 1974, GRSM has expanded its Bay Area offices to more than 180 lawyers, including growing its San Francisco attorney headcount by more than 75 percent since its current lease began. With an emphasis on collaboration, an approach that few other Am Law 100 firms have implemented, the new office space represents a nearly 75 percent reduction in square footage compared to GRSM’s current San Francisco home.
“As we celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2024, we sought to reaffirm our commitment to San Francisco, the city where we were founded, while also looking to the future,” added Marie Trimble Holvick, Managing Partner of GRSM’s San Francisco and Oakland offices. “When completed, it will provide a modern and collaborative workspace combined with the traditional aspects of an office. We look forward to welcoming clients to our new home.”
Since launching its 50-state platform more than four years ago, GRSM has grown regionally and nationally, reaching a headcount of more than 1,200 lawyers nationwide. In 2023, the firm unveiled its GRSM50 brand, designed to embrace and amplify its novel 50-state business strategy.
