Gordon & Rees Phoenix Office Women’s Initiative Activates into Service with Beyond the Hurt

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Phoenix office's Women's Initiative volunteered at an event with Beyond the Hurt, a program helping families who are victims of domestic violence. The volunteers spoke to a group of boys and girls between the ages of 10-17 on Saturday, May 21 about the legal profession. The youth group is comprised of children in foster care and those from disadvantaged families. The event presented positive role models in the community to inspire and encourage kids to move forward despite the unfavorable circumstances they have faced.

“The Phoenix Office’s Women’s Initiative is committed to meaningful acts of service within our community,” said Kira Barrett, Assistant Office Managing Partner of the Phoenix office. “We were thrilled to be invited to share our stories with the youth and staff at Beyond the Hurt and hopefully provide just a bit of inspiration to those youth who may be considering a future career in the legal field.” Along with Barrett, the team included Mary Curtin, Madison Farnsworth, and Chanel Rizk.

The Women's Initiative at Gordon & Rees is committed to providing leadership, inspiration, and opportunity for women. The Women’s Initiative was created to facilitate the advancement of women at Gordon & Rees and, thereby, help advance the opportunities for women in the legal profession overall.
