Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani is pleased to announce that Jeffrey R. Lilly has rejoined the firm as a Partner in its Austin office.
With more than 25 years of experience, Lilly brings a wealth of expertise in a wide range of litigation matters, including pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, product liability, construction defect, environmental and toxic tort, professional liability, and commercial litigation.
Ten of those 25 years were spent with the firm, from 2011 to 2021, during which he earned a strong reputation for his legal acumen and client-centered approach. His return further strengthens the firm’s core litigation practices and deepens its presence in Texas and beyond.
Lilly is a seasoned litigator who has represented Fortune 500 clients, smaller corporations, and individuals in state and federal courts across Texas and the United States, including national MDLs. His representative experience includes successfully resolving high-stakes matters involving negligence, construction defects, securities fraud, and breach of contract. He has also served as lead counsel in complex pharmaceutical and tribal court cases and has extensive experience advising on e-discovery issues.
Beyond his legal practice, Lilly is a recognized thought leader in e-discovery, frequently publishing and speaking on data preservation, cost control, and compliance with federal rules. His insights have been sought by industry-leading organizations such as the International Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jeff back to the firm,” said Chris Ege, Austin Co-Managing Partner. “His deep litigation experience, proven leadership in complex cases, and strategic approach to client service will further enhance our ability to deliver exceptional results for our clients.”
Lilly is admitted to practice in Texas and Arkansas before the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Eastern, Southern, and Northern Districts of Texas. He earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated from the Plan II Honors Program.
