Louisville Partner Denise Motta Appointed Vice Chair of DRI Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee

Louisville Partner Denise Motta has been appointed Vice Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee for the Defense Research Institute (DRI).

In this role, Motta will support the ADR Committee’s mission to promote arbitration, mediation, and negotiation as cost-effective alternatives to litigation, while fostering member involvement through program development, publications, and recruitment. She will help advance DRI’s core values—Education, Justice, Balance, Economics, Professionalism, and Diversity—and strengthen its educational initiatives in alternative dispute resolution.

Motta has extensive experience litigating complex litigation claims in state and federal courts. Her emphasis is on construction litigation and the representation of steel fabricators and other parties on large construction projects, such as stadiums and bridges. She provides advice to clients on contract negotiation and complex business disputes, including claims of non-payment, delay, acceleration, and allegations of defective construction. Motta is a panel member with the American Arbitration Association, Construction and Commercial.
