Partners Brian Ledger and Christopher Ege to Present on PFAS and Mass Tort at Class Action Conference

Partners Brian Ledger and Christopher Ege will present on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances ("PFAS") and mass tort at the Seventh Annual Class Action Money & Ethics Conference on May 8 at The Harmonie Club in New York City.

Mr. Ledger will co-present "Is the 'Forever Chemical' PFAS a Forever Class Action?" This session will explore PFAS claims involving environmental harm and health risks, as well as the phasing out of PFAS production by major companies and ongoing government regulations.

Mr. Ege will co-present "Mass Torts: Cases to Watch in 2023," which covers well-known brands' multidistrict litigation proceedings and how mass tort settlements in 2022 give insights into the current landscape.

The Class Action Money & Ethics Conference, presented by Beard Group, Inc., a law and business publisher, brings together class action experts and other professionals to discuss the latest topics and trends in the industry and provide networking opportunities.

Mr. Ledger is a Partner in the Los Angeles office and has been a leader in Environmental and Toxic Tort Law for 29 years. He serves as lead counsel in complex, multi-party environmental and toxic tort litigation under CERCLA, Clean Water Act/RCRA, and common law nuisance/trespass concerning contaminated soil, and surface and groundwater. His cases have included some of the most complex sites in California and several other states.

Mr. Ege is the Co-Managing Partner of the Austin office and has been a litigator and trial lawyer for over 20 years, representing major corporations as national trial counsel or national coordinating counsel. He has defended hundreds of lawsuits for clients engaged in mass tort litigation, product liability, insurance, commercial and employment disputes and handles each according to its unique challenges.
