New Jersey associate Qing Guo has been elected to serve as the President of the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association ("APALA-NJ"), the only Pan-Asian Bar Association serving Asian and Pacific American attorneys within the state of New Jersey.
Guo also serves on the Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointment Committee for APALA-NJ. She previously served as the Vice President of Communications and had been actively involved in APALA-NJ since law school, having been the recipient of APALA-NJ’s law student scholarship.
She was sworn in as President on May 28, 2021. The Honorable Edward S. Kiel administered the oath of office. Judge Kiel is the first Korean American federal court judge in New Jersey.

Being President of APAPLA-NJ provides a wonderful, public platform from which to bring attention to issues important not just to Asian American Pacific Islander ("AAPI") lawyers, but to the AAPI community in general. There has never been a more important time to do that than right now.”
Guo is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Appellate, and Employment Law practice groups. She has extensive experience in representing clients in matters ranging from commercial and complex litigation, class action defense, employment discrimination claims (Title VII, NJLAD, CEPA), constitutional violation allegations, appeals before state and federal courts, and contested probate litigation. Guo is well-versed in filing and defending orders to show cause, seeking temporary restraints and for summary actions in state court.
