Seattle Partner Sarah Turner to Present on States’ Equal Pay Acts for Strafford CLE Webinar

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Seattle partner Sarah Turner will present “Equal Pay Litigation: Recent EEOC Decisions, Salary History Bans, Privilege, Employment Verification, State Analogs,” presented by Strafford via a live 90-minute CLE video webinar with interactive Q&A Wednesday, March 17, at 10 a.m. Pacific.

The panel will provide employment counsel with practical advice on litigation trends in federal and state equal pay laws, which have been on the rise and are anticipated to continue to do so under the Biden administration. The panel will also discuss the proposed changes to the Equal Pay Act, including expanding damages and how the potential expansion of the definition of "establishment" encourages claims.

Turner is a partner with the Employment and Cannabis practice groups in the Seattle and Portland office of Gordon & Rees. She litigates in state and federal trial and appellate courts.
