San Francisco Partner Dominic Campodonico Serves as International Association of Defense Counsel’s Convention Chair for 2020 Centennial Event

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani San Francisco Partner Dominic Campodonico is serving as the International Association of Defense Counsel's (IADC) Convention Chair for the 2020 Midyear Meeting February 22 –27 in Pebble Beach, California.

Campodonico has worked in partnership with the hardworking staff of IADC and fellow members of the planning team for much of the past year on this centenntial event. IADC celebrates 100 years as a professional organization that provides education, business development, and helps foster friendships for elite civil defense lawyers and insurance executives from around the world. This year’s featured speaker is Mary Robinson, Former President of Ireland and Chair of The Elders & UN Special Envoy on Climate Change.

The IADC has been serving a distinguished membership of corporate and insurance defense attorneys and insurance executives since 1920. They provide benefits to approximately 2,500 invitation-only, peer reviewed members and their clients, as well as the civil justice system and the legal profession.

Gordon & Rees attorneys around the country are current and past members of the IADC and have served instrumental leadership roles. These attorneys include: Stuart Gordon, Nancy Erfle, Jeffrey Lilly, Laura DeSantos, Andrew Cary, Michael Lucey, Asim Desai and Michael Klatt. Klatt will speak at this year's event in a session entitled "The Mounting Attacks on Company Sponsored Science, Speech, and Experts."

Campodonico has more than 20 years of experience serving as national litigation coordinating counsel, regional counsel, and local counsel in mass tort, product liability litigation. He has represented manufacturers and distributors of a variety of pharmaceutical, medical device, and laboratory products in litigations as well as risk assessments. He has been involved in many California Judicial Council Coordinated Proceedings and has served as Defense Liaison Counsel.

Campodonico has significant experience handling wrongful death and other catastrophic injury litigation, and has developed an extensive network of prominent experts in many sciences and technologies. He also assists his clients with high-stakes matters that frequently occur simultaneously with product liability litigation, such as risk management and compliance, FDA/regulatory issues, government investigations, suits under the federal and California False Claims Act, insurance, and crisis communications.
