Anna Reinert is Co-Managing partner of the Denver office of GRSM and a member of the Employment Law practice group.  She partners with clients to develop strategies that address the unique business, financial and practical motivations of each matter she handles.

Anna has extensive experience representing employers in state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies in Colorado.  She concentrates her practice on litigation and administrative matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination under Title VII, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, CADA and other federal and state statutes.  Anna further concentrates on other matters stemming from employment such as malicious prosecution, abuse of process, defamation, negligence, breach of contract and violation of the Colorado Consumer Protection Act.  Anna also routinely represents employers in wage and hour actions brought on behalf of individuals or classes of individuals under the FLSA or Colorado’s Wage Act and related regulations.  In addition, Anna represents corporate clients on ADA barriers cases.  

Outside of her litigation practice, Anna advises companies on a wide range of employment issues, spanning from the initial hire of employees to terminations and layoffs.  She works with clients to create and implement a variety of employment documents, policies and procedures such as employment handbooks, employment agreements, and severance agreements.  Anna also uses her training as a program performance auditor to draft policies and procedures to reduce waste, fraud and abuse and ensure regulatory compliance.  She further provides training to all levels of employees regarding discrimination, harassment and retaliation.  

  • Successfully represented employer and individual in CADA disability discrimination and retaliation dispute (May 2019).

  • Successfully represented employer in federal collective and class wage and hour dispute (March 2019).

  • Successfully represented employer in matter involving claims for wrongful termination in violation of public policy, gender based Title VII discrimination and harassment, ADA disability discrimination, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and tortious interference with contract (February 2019).

  • Secured dismissal of claim for violation of the Colorado Consumer Protection Act (October 2018). 

  • Secured summary judgement on claims for Abuse of Process, Negligence, Civil Theft and Conversion (June 2018).

  • Successfully represented employer in matter involving joint-employer liability, assault, battery, false imprisonment, extreme and outrageous conduct, and negligent supervision and retention (June 2018).  

  • Secured summary judgment on claims for ADA discrimination and Title VII retaliation (August 2017).  

  • Successfully represented employer in federal collective and class wage and hour dispute (March 2017).

  • Successfully represented employer in transgender Title VII discrimination dispute (January 2017).

Community Involvement

Anna currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center. Prior to joining the board, Anna worked as a supervising attorney at the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center where she represented hundreds of children in state juvenile, criminal and educational matters throughout Colorado, and supervised other practicing attorneys.

Anna also served as the Co-Executive Director of the Denver Chapter of StandUp for Kids.
