Ari Charlip is Managing Partner of the Detroit office of GRSM. Ari's practice focuses on real estate litigation, commercial & business litigation, and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) loan workouts, litigation and enforcement actions. As a nationally recognized legal authority in the CMBS industry, Ari has handled numerous litigation matters throughout the Midwest for his CMBS clients. Ari also represents residential loan servicers in litigation matters throughout the country. His broad background includes assisting financial institutions and real estate related entities in complicated foreclosure matters and lien priority disputes as well as defending financial institutions in TILA, RESPA, and FDCPA claims. Ari has considerable experience defending mortgage servicers and corporations in class actions under the TCPA.

- Represents lenders and finance companies for their consumer finance litigation, including regulatory and compliance issues, Fair Debt Collection Practice Act (FDCPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) claims, contested foreclosures and evictions, credit card claims and Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) compliance issues for financial institutions, private mortgage lenders, and servicers.
