Catherine W. Delorey is Senior Counsel in the San Francisco office of GRSM and a member of the Construction practice group. Catherine has many years of experience aggressively resolving disputes through negotiation, arbitration, and litigation with a “hands-on” approach in addressing client concerns. She has experience representing contractors on a number of legal issues facing the construction industry, including: differing site conditions, nondisclosure, delays and acceleration, liquidated damages, termination, extra work, payment and retention withholdings, and bid protests. Catherine has a track record of success on behalf of her clients, including favorable resolutions at mediation, trial, and on appeal.
- Served as co-counsel in jury trial, obtained verdict, and successfully defended appeal of judgment in favor of heavy civil contractor on multiple contract claims against local public entity in California Superior Court.
- Served as co-counsel and obtained award in favor of heavy civil contractor on differing site condition and delay claim against state agency in California Office of Administrative Hearings Public Works Contract Arbitration.
- Successfully protested and defended against protests of award of local public entity construction contracts.
