Cristina works collaboratively with clients to navigate brand development and protection in various industries, including real estate, food and beverage, energy, fashion, and entertainment. She has substantial litigation experience in trademark and copyright infringement, and unfair competition claims. She also regularly counsels clients on trademark and copyright law, design patents, trade secrets, counterfeiting issues, trade dress, domain name disputes, social media and advertising, and implementing or strengthening protection measures for clients' valuable intellectual property rights. Cristina has significant experience in prosecuting applications and oppositions for trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), responses to USPTO Office Action refusals, and administrative Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) proceedings.
Cristina has experience with a variety of commercial litigation matters, including, employment disputes, non-competition agreements, interference with contracts or business relationships, breach of fiduciary duty cases, disputes over corporate management and control, contract actions, real estate transactions and lease disputes. Cristina's employment law experience includes numerous trials, administrative and arbitration proceedings, representing management in state and Federal employment law matters involving Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, ADEA and ADA. She has prepared and presented employment law training sessions for clients and is proficient at drafting employment manuals, personnel policies, non-disclosure, non-competition, employment, consulting and severance agreements.
