As a Partner in the Dallas office of GRSM, Barret defends clients in complex litigation throughout the country. He is experienced in defending product manufacturers, premises owners, and employers through responding to new claims, fact and expert discovery, trial, and appeal. He has managed national litigation for large corporate clients, including coordination of national discovery and trial strategies, development of corporate and expert witnesses, training of local counsel in jurisdictions across the country, and reporting to in-house counsel and insurance carriers. He also serves as local counsel for a number of clients in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas where he maintains licenses.

Always results-oriented, Barret works closely with his clients to develop case-specific litigation strategies. He prides himself on aggressively pursuing innovative and complex pre-trial defenses that have resulted in successful motions for summary judgment, preclusion of opposing expert witnesses, and extraordinary interlocutory appellate relief. He has served as briefing attorney and trial counsel in a number of state and federal jurisdictions. He has authored numerous unique dispositive and Daubert/Frye motions that have resulted in summary judgment for his clients. His appellate experience includes interlocutory appeals in California and Arkansas that have resulted in the reversal of trial court orders and the dismissal of claims against his clients.

When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, who are active with him in baseball, basketball, football, soccer, hunting, and fishing.
