Joseph Monahan is Senior Counsel in the Philadelphia office of GRSM. He is a member of the Insurance practice group.
- Successful representation of multiple insurance carriers accused of bad faith in both the first party and third party context;
- Representation of bank and bank holding company in ongoing consumer class actions alleging violations of RESPA and the Sherman Act;
- Successful representation of university in major Clery Act and Title IX federal investigations;
- After extensive motion practice in multiple courts, reached favorable resolution of dispute concerning alleged fraud, RICO and ERISA violations with respect to the financing of a major entertainment facility; and
- Successfully represented medical device manufacturer accused of design patent infringement in Federal Circuit appeal of denial of summary judgment
