Joseph Bellew is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience handling complex corporate matters including breach of fiduciary duty actions, shareholder-related litigation, change in control disputes, statutory demands for inspection of corporate books and records and all types of matters governed by Delaware’s General Corporation Law. Joseph also has experience representing clients in commercial litigation matters involving business divorces between LLC members and the sale of membership interests in various Delaware alternative entities as well as litigation involving claims for breach of contract, fraud, misappropriation, and business interference.

Joseph also defends manufacturers, distributors and component compartment manufacturers in matters involving industrial machinery, fire safety/life safety equipment and all aspects of healthcare liability issues.

Joseph has also litigated numerous matters involving the validity and coverage involved in the legislative and statutory provisions applicable to insurance disputes.

Representative Experience

  • Represented an apartment complex owner and management company accused of consumer fraud by the Attorney General’s Office in regards to the leasing of apartments.
  • Represented major food manufacturer/distributor concerning claims of injuries suffered as a result of consumption of adulterated foods.
  • Represented major insurance carriers in third party claims for coverage involving claims for construction defects.
  • Represented a trustee for RICO violations in regards to the administration of a trust.
  • Represented various construction companies in regards to disputes arising out of projects resulting in the filing and discharging of mechanics liens.
