Matthew J. DeMaio is an Associate in the Pittsburgh office. His practice primarily involves defending and counseling hospitals, physicians, nurses, long and short term care facilities, and a variety of other organizations. Matthew also practices corporate law, regularly forming business and drafting a variety of agreements related to asset purchases and investment.

Prior to joining GRSM, Matthew was a defense attorney at several Pittsburgh-based law firms, practicing in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance defense, employment, real estate, and corporate law. While awaiting bar exam results, Matthew served as a Fellow with Neighborhood Legal Services, where he defended dozens of indigent tenants from COVID-19 related eviction.

In 2022, Matthew completed the Allegheny County Bar Association's Bar Leadership Initiative and was elected to the Young Lawyer's Division Council. He is currently serving a two-year term representing Allegheny County lawyers who have been in practice for less than ten years.
