Michael Dailey is a partner in the Los Angeles Office of GRSM. He has extensive experience litigating complex business disputes across a variety of industries, including financial services, commercial real estate, healthcare, cannabis, technology, aviation and aerospace, and entertainment. Michael has also prosecuted and defended clients against fraud, breach of contract, tort, trademark infringement, false advertising, alter ego, racketeering, and breach of fiduciary duty allegations.

Michael has managed all phases of litigation at both the state and federal levels.  He has first-chaired trials and arbitrations, taken and defended fact and expert witness depositions and successfully briefed countless dispositive and discovery motions. Michael has guided clients through all aspects of the e-discovery process to maximize efficiency and defensibility of their collection efforts and subsequent productions.  He has traveled to several foreign jurisdictions to supervise forensic collections in accordance with international privacy laws.  Michael has also been called as a witness to defend those collections in court. In one instance, his testimony before a bankruptcy court helped secure a multi-million judgment in his client’s favor.

Before joining GRSM, Michael practiced at an international AMLaw 20 firm in New York and Los Angeles and an AMLaw 200 firm where he helped open its Century City office.

  • Represented registered financial advisor and principal in dispute with transactional counterparty that alleged breach of contract, fraud, and conspiracy causes of action in CA.  Obtained complete dismissal of claims in CA based on lack of personal jurisdiction.  Defended clients in Delaware Superior Court regarding similar claims and obtained complete dismissal of all claims on behalf of clients.

  • Represented a Las Vegas hotel and casino against breach of contract claims brought by a concert special effects company engaged by one of the resident artists.  Negotiated a favorable settlement on behalf of client with no out-of-pocket costs and a complete release of all claims in its favor.

  • Represented a monoline insurer as a creditor in a bankruptcy proceeding of a national mortgage originator and related debtors concerning alleged misrepresentations and contractual breaches concerning the quality of the underlying loan pools.  Also asserted alter ego claims against the non-debtor parent entity.  Reached a favorable settlement of claims on behalf of the client.

  • Represented CBD sales agent and individual owner in dispute brought by two individuals concerning an alleged ownership interest in the company.  Secured a complete dismissal of claims brought in Colorado State Court against both Defendants based on lack of personal jurisdiction.
