Roy Tjioe began his practice in 1988 at one of Hawaii’s oldest and largest law firms, becoming a partner in 1996. His practice encompassed all aspects of civil litigation, with an emphasis on personal injury and products liability. For several years, he co-authored the Hawaii chapter of the Products Liability Desk Reference.

He started the firm’s entertainment law group in 2001 and left the firm in 2007 to co-found a film and television production and financing company. During the pandemic, he began working part time for a small local litigation firm for two years before joining GRSM in the summer of 2024 while he continues to work as a producer and screenwriter. He currently handles civil litigation matters with an emphasis on personal injury.
