Scott W. McCaskill is a Partner at GRSM and a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He focuses his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, contracts, real estate matters, and defense of professional liability and tort claims, as well as consumer class actions. He also routinely represents directors and officers in direct actions for alleged breaches of fiduciary duties and related claims. Prior to joining GRSM, Scott was an associate at a boutique business litigation firm in North San Diego County. Prior to working in California, he worked on first-party property claims and as a public defender in Florida. Scott is an experienced civil litigator and has tried multiple civil and criminal cases to verdict over the years.

In addition to his substantial trial practice, he has extensive experience negotiating settlements at meditation and during litigation. He has the knowledge and experience to aggressively litigate every case, no matter how large or small.

Scott received his Juris Doctorate from the Florida Coastal School of Law. During law school, he competed across the country as a member of his school’s top-ranked Moot Court Honor Board before graduating cum laude. He also had the honor of interning at the First District Court of Appeal.
