Alana Lawton is an Associate in GRSM Chicago’s office and a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Alana has experience representing clients at all stages of litigation, including motion practice, depositions, mediation, arbitration, trial, and settlement negotiation. Alana is dedicated to achieving favorable outcomes for her clients while minimizing litigation costs.
Prior to joining GRSM, Alana was an associate at a Chicago-based defense firm where she handled a variety of matters involving contract disputes, general liability, business torts, employment law, insurance coverage, and appellate work.
Alana earned her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law with a Certificate in Advocacy. While in law school, she was Captain of Loyola’s American Bar Association Negotiation Competition Team and a clinician in the Veteran’s Practicum of the Loyola Community Law Center. Alana worked as a summer associate for the Chicago Cubs and served as a Judicial Extern to Chief Justice Anne Burke of the Illinois Supreme Court. Before transferring to Loyola, Alana completed her first year of law school at the University of Miami School of Law where she was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and received the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement in Constitutional Law and Family Law.
Prior to law school, Alana completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin where she studied Government and Sport Media.
