Allison Ross is a Partner in the Employment practice group in the San Francisco office of GRSM. She defends and advises employers and employees in labor and employment matters in California state and federal courts. Allison has substantial experience in all aspects of single plaintiff and complex litigation, to include representative claims under California’s Private Attorneys General Act, and wage and hour class actions on behalf of private entities, governmental agencies, and municipalities.
In addition to appearances in state and federal court, Allison has handled matters involving the Department of Labor, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and the National Labor Relations Board. Her practice also includes defending public entities in Pitchess claims and related issues, Civil Rights actions in state and federal court, as well as counseling employers through workplace violence matters, to include obtaining workplace violence protective orders.
Before joining GRSM, Allison was an Associate at Littler Mendelson. Additionally, she was a Deputy Attorney General with the California Department of Justice in the Employment and Administrative Mandamus section and a Deputy District Attorney where she tried multiple felony and misdemeanor cases.
