Biography

Alyssa N. Wright is Senior Counsel in the Nashville office of Gordon & Rees and is a member of the Commercial Litigation, Employment Law, and Construction practice groups. 

Alyssa's practice includes representing companies in a variety of employment-related disputes, including administrative complaints before the EEOC and state and federal litigation involving claims under Title VII, the ADA, the FMLA, the FLSA. She also assists clients on day-to-day employment matters, with the goal of preventing litigation, and works with companies to implement procedures to avoid compliance issues.

Her practice also includes litigation in the areas of general liability, personal injury, negligent workmanship and construction defect claims, premises liability and negligent security matters. She also represents long-term care providers, assisted living facilities, home health agencies and skilled nursing facilities on claims of negligence and wrongful death. 

While in law school, she was a member of the Trial Advocacy Competition Team and selected administrative editor of the Public Law Review. She earned first place in the Attorney General Cup Trial Advocacy Competition and received academic excellence awards in Product Liability and Trial Advocacy. Ms. Wright also interned at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Missouri, where she worked on legal topics involving child exploitation, organized crime, and drug enforcement issues.
