Cassie Preston is Senior Counsel in GRSM’s Atlanta office. On behalf of the firm, she defends matters in a variety of practice areas from inception through trial. Cassie has a seasoned history of successfully litigating cases in state and federal courts throughout the southeastern United States.
Cassie has handled a multitude of claims implicating a party’s coverage and, particularly, historically specialized in a relatively unknown sub-area of insurance law known as subrogation. Litigating matters by way of subrogation not only allowed her to gain intricate knowledge of the legalities surrounding insurance related disputes, but also provided the vehicle to gain particularized knowledge in complex cases involving product defects, construction defects, and other claims in tort, which caused injury to person and property, as well as contractual disputes. In addition, Cassie is accredited by the United States Veterans Association and won on appeal, at the regional level, a veteran’s matter involving the improper reduction of benefits due to the United States Department of Veterans Affairs contradicting its own precedent involving presumptive illnesses directly linked to a product known as Agent Orange, which was heavily utilized during the Vietnam War. Cassie also has vast experience handling Plaintiffs’ personal injury matters in both state and federal courts and in the States of Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
