She earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, International Relations and Spanish from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
Christina began her law practice in Houston in 2001, defending governmental entities and public officials in state court and civil rights actions in federal court in the Southern District of Texas. She has experience litigating complex contract disputes, employment law cases arising out of corporate compliance with state and federal regulations, and personal injury cases involving serious oil field accidents.
Christina continues to represent governmental entities and police officers in Civil Rights claims of false arrest, excessive force and other cases involving state and Constitutional law. She also defends cities, firefighters and other public entities in cases arising out of automobile accidents and premise liability. Christina’s litigation practice also includes defense of various commercial entities in cases involving premise liability, breach of contract, and claims arising out of compliance with state and federal regulations.
Christina has gained significant experience in successfully resolving a large volume of balance billing disputes brought through the Texas Department of Insurance (“TDI”) independent dispute resolution (“IDR”) process. She frequently represents healthcare plans in TDI mediations requested by emergency healthcare providers. Christina appreciates the importance of keeping health insurance premiums reasonable in the face of skyrocketing healthcare costs. Her depth of knowledge of complex Texas administrative Insurance and Government Code provisions gives clients a significant advantage in the defense of lawsuits brought following the TDI IDR process. Christina understands how best to protect clients, applying her outstanding negotiation and litigation skills in a respectful, diligent effort to achieve the most successful outcome in every case.
