Chris Raney has litigated business, commercial, insurance, and personal injury matters in Texas over the last 20 years. He has tried cases to Texas judges, juries, and arbitrators. He has drafted and argued dispositive motions, appellate briefs, and virtually every other type of brief, motion, or pleading in Texas state and federal courts. Chris takes a creative, aggressive approach to litigation to achieve the client’s strategic objectives in the courthouse or to avoid one altogether.
Chris serves as panel counsel to a number of insurers and is regularly called upon to defend their insureds’ interests in third-party claims under professional liability, commercial property, general liability, commercial auto, cyber liability and business owner’s policies.
In addition to defending insurers in first-party litigation, Chris also has an active insurance coverage practice where advises insurers on coverage issues involving liability and property policies.
