Courtney R. Abbott serves as Of Counsel in the Alexandria office. Courtney has been practicing law in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia for over 10 years. She has a proven track record of successful litigation and counseling management in all areas of employment law matters and commercial litigation.
Courtney has participated in numerous trials and arbitration proceedings, representing management and employees in several state and Federal employment law matters involving Title VII, FLSA, FMLA and ADA. She has prepared and presented employment law training sessions for clients and is proficient at drafting employment manuals and personnel policies, non-disclosure agreements, non-competition agreements, employment agreements, consulting agreements, partnership agreements, severance agreements, and model offer letters.
Courtney has experience with a variety of commercial litigation matters, including, employment disputes, non-competition agreements, interference with contracts or business relationships, shareholder and partnership disputes, breach of fiduciary duty cases, disputes over corporate management and control, contract actions, debt collection actions, real estate transactions and lease disputes.
