Elena Kuzminova is a Partner in the Irvine and Los Angeles offices of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani and a member of the Firm’s Commercial Litigation Group. Her practice focuses on complex, high-exposure commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts across the country. She represents a broad range of clients in complex commercial disputes, including major corporations, mid-sized enterprises, emerging technology companies, and individuals. Her experience includes matters involving breach of contract, fraud, business torts, claims for indemnity, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair competition and unfair business practices statutes, invasion of privacy, trademark and copyright infringement, and equitable claims, among others. Her cases often involve significant financial exposure and technically intricate fact patterns requiring strategic motion practice and careful evidentiary development.

Elena is known for her strategic insight, exceptional writing, and results-oriented approach to resolving complex litigation efficiently. Her practice spans all stages of litigation—from early case assessment and dispositive motions through expert discovery, trial preparation, and post-judgment enforcement. Clients rely on her ability to navigate procedurally intricate disputes, manage complex discovery issues, and develop targeted strategies that achieve favorable results efficiently.

Her work frequently includes high-stakes disputes involving sophisticated software and technology systems, including enterprise resource-planning (ERP) platforms, SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) agreements, and large-scale software-implementation and digital-integration projects. This experience allows her to bridge technical and legal perspectives, manage complex evidentiary records, and work seamlessly with technical experts and clients’ in-house engineering, IT, and data-science teams.

In addition to her commercial litigation practice, Elena handles data-privacy-related litigation and counseling, including defense of class actions, individual consumer claims, and governmental enforcement matters such as actions and investigations by the Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general, and other regulatory agencies. These matters often involve alleged violations of the FTC Act, CCPA, and other consumer protection and privacy statutes.

Before joining GRSM, Elena practiced at one of the nation’s largest construction-boutique firms and an Am Law 100 firm, where she refined her strategic approach to complex business litigation.
