As part of her practice, Lizzie counsels employers on all aspects of employee management. She has substantial experience before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state agencies handling charges of discrimination and retaliation. Lizzie also handles a wide variety of commercial litigation matters.
Prior to joining GRSM, Lizzie was an associate at a mid-sized Houston insurance defense firm where she primarily specialized in trucking and premises liability matters. She gained valuable experience—honing her legal writing and advocacy skills while working with a variety of clients throughout each stage of litigation.
Lizzie graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in May 2021. During her time in law school, she served as the Chief Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of Health Law and Policy. Her Comment addressing pandemic legal policy was selected for publication in Volume 21 of the Journal. Her legal writing prowess was recognized in earning the LEX Award for the highest graded brief in her Lawyering Skills & Strategies class. She also received the J. Huey O’Toole Award for academic excellence in family law courses.”
