Jenna N. Van Middelem is an Associate at the Alexandria Office of GRSM and is a member of the Commercial Litigation and Employment Law practice groups.
She has experience handling a diverse range of subject areas from breach of contract to claims of discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
Jenna's employment practice involves a variety of matters including representing employers in actions arising in the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Office of Human Rights for the District of Columbia. She has also handled contractual claims involving breach of contract, non-competes, non-solicitation agreements, and trade secrets.
Prior to joining GRSM, Jenna represented parents in child welfare proceedings in Los Angeles County, California. Specifically, she managed abuse and neglect cases from inception to termination of the case. While in law school, she interned at a Public Defender’s Office in Queens, New York, where she advocated for indigent defendants in need of legal representation. Further, she volunteered at the United Nations Complex in Nairobi, Kenya, with UNICEF, where she collaborated with Kenyan attorneys on child welfare issues. She also served as a staffer on the New York International Law Review Journal. She hopes to bring her significant courtroom experience and strong attorney-client relationship-building skills to civil practice.
