Biography

Jeremy Tjia is an Associate in GRSM’s Williamsburg office. His practice currently consists mainly of litigation, particularly on the office’s robust estate/trust and HOA litigation business. He also litigates general business/commercial matters, with emphasis on real estate, construction, and employment law disputes.

The firm’s estate/trust litigation practice includes counseling clients through will or trust disputes, such as when a will is challenged on grounds that the will-maker lacked capacity or was unlawfully influenced to give preference to a family member. Jeremy also handles contested guardianship proceedings and elder law issues.

He counsels various HOA/condo associations, real estate developers, and hospitality organizations in their general legal needs. This includes drafting foundational documents, interpreting a set of restrictive covenants, or evicting holdover tenants.

His practice involves employment-law lawsuits as well as counseling various players on proper compliance to avoid litigation. Employment claims can include those based on sexual harassment, unlawful discrimination, covenants not to compete, or trade secrets.
