John D. Sager is a Partner in the Sacramento office of GRSM and is a member of the Employment Law practice group. His practice focuses on employment litigation, including the representation of employers and management in all aspects of employment law such as administrative and civil claims for wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and alleged wage and hour violations. His practice also includes other types of civil litigation, including personal injury, premises liability, elder abuse, and medical malpractice.
John has experience in the litigation department of an educational law firm, Young Minney & Corr, where he has represented Charter Schools and Non-Profits in a wide variety of matters, with a focus on defending employment litigation, including class actions, and personal injury lawsuits. He was also the primary attorney handling several labor and employment claims.
Prior to that, John worked for six years as a medical malpractice and elder abuse defense attorney at a Sacramento based litigation defense firm. There, he obtained extensive litigation experience in handling the defense of complex and contentious cases. John defended complex medical malpractice and elder abuse cases, representing a wide variety of medical specialists, advanced practice providers, and nurses, as well as facilities including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and RCFEs. He prepared, appeared, and successfully argued dozens of Motions for Summary Judgments, Demurrers, and discovery motions. John has had substantial interaction with attorneys, clients, and claim representatives.
