Julia Vredenburg is an Associate in the Chicago office where her practice focus is primarily in Commercial Litigation, Product & General Liability, Environmental/Toxic Tort, and Employment law. Her practice is nationally based, and involves commercial, tort defense, and insurance-related matters.

Julia earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law. While in school, she participated in a moot court competition, joining the Leroy R. Hassell, Sr. National Constitutional Law Moot Court Team and becoming a member of the Moot Court Honors Council after receiving an Octo-Finalist award for the Dean Fred F. Herzog Moot Court Competition. She also held a leadership position as the National Security Law Society Vice President of Programming and was a Teaching Assistant for Lawyering Skills III: Appellate Advocacy, a required course where each student is to research and write two Supreme Court appellate briefs, as well as prepare an oral argument to present in competition at the Dirksen Federal Court House. In addition, she was a student intern for the Fair Housing Legal Support Center and Clinic, where she assisted in housing & civil rights matters, including evictions, foreclosures, and other matters raising discrimination issues.

Julia clerked for GRSM beginning the summer after her second year of law school and continued throughout her third year. She was able to become familiar with the many legal practices that the firm offers clients.

Prior to law school, she earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Michigan State University.
