Julia Braun focuses her practice on litigation, defense of high exposure claims, employment related matters and provides a comprehensive range of legal services required by all participants in the construction industry – architects, engineers, design professionals, owners, developers, general contractors and other affiliated consultants and service providers.
Julia has successfully obtained summary judgment on numerous occasions for her clients, including a national gym chain, restaurant chain and commercial retailer and was successful in obtaining dismissal of Labor Law 240 claims against a corporate rental facility. She obtained a pre answer dismissal on behalf of a business in Connecticut Superior Court. She also successfully resolves many high exposure cases through mediation. Adept in both state and federal practice, Julia recently prevailed on a motion to transfer a multimillion dollar lawsuit from plaintiff-friendly Cook County, Illinois to the Southern District of New York, lowering the overall exposure to the client by the tens of millions of dollars.
