Kelly V. Milam has significant litigation experience. She concentrates her practice in trucking, transportation casualty, construction, commercial law and real estate litigation. She works closely with businesses, financial institutions, real estate owners and developers and their shareholders/owners in various aspects of litigation, problem solving and general business representation and defense.
In addition, Kelly defends employers in employment litigation, including claims for wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour violations.
Kelly has a proven ability to manage sophisticated matters in Illinois and Indiana from pre-suit investigation through verdict.
Kelly’s clients include construction contractors and subcontractors, transportation carriers and their insurers. She has presented to insurers and claims managers regarding topics such as Illinois law updates and claim investigation. She has published articles regarding trucking trends and defense strategy.
Kelly was recognized as an Emerging Lawyer in Leading Lawyers magazine in 2016 and 2017 pursuant to her nomination by peer Leading Lawyers in Illinois. The designation of Emerging Lawyer is reserved for attorneys less than 40 years of age and accounts for less than two percent of Illinois attorneys.
